With minimal wear and a neutral appearance, these stackable one-trip containers can serve a range of uses—from simple storage to multi-story housing projects. They can also still be used for intermodal freight transport.

If you have a specific color preference, please include it in the “Product Note” section at checkout. While we’ll do our best to accommodate requests, we can’t guarantee color for used containers at this time.
When buying a container online, you can choose between pick-up from one of our depots, or tilt-bed delivery to your location.
Pick-Up
Most products are in-stock and available for pick-up within 3-5 days. With this option, you are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable vehicle and the proper equipment to safely offload your container on your property. A member of our team will reach out to coordinate your pick-up. Contact us if you require pick-up sooner.
Tilt-Bed Delivery
If you select tilt-bed delivery, your shipping container will be delivered on a tilt-bed trailer. This is a specialized piece of equipment that is towed by either a hot shot truck or standard truck cab. Then, the front of the bed is raised so the container slides safely to the ground as the driver slowly drives forward.
To facilitate delivery on a tilt-bed trailer, you will need:
- Length Clearance: 100ft (30.5m)
- Height Clearance: 15ft (4.5m)*
- Width Clearance: 12ft (3.65m)
Note: Any low-hanging wires at the drop-site must be at least 18ft off the ground for the trailer to tilt safely.

What they look like
One-trip containers are the newest available for sale. Most are manufactured in beige (RAL 1015), though colors like dark blue, red, and grey are also common. They usually do not carry shipping-line logos—though it is a possibility. And while they are in excellent condition, minor scuffs or small dents from their single ocean journey are normal.
Features and build
One-trip containers come in two subcategories: storage-spec (also known as “trading-spec”) and shipping-spec (also called “leasing-spec”).
Storage-spec containers are made for domestic use and are easy to access and secure from the ground—they include features like a lockbox, easy-open door handles, and forklift pockets.
Shipping-spec containers are built for intermodal shipping and may not include all of the same features. However, the steel is slightly thicker in shipping-spec units (1.6 mm versus 1.2 mm for storage-spec), making them better suited for repeated transport.
Why they’re called “one-trips”
Because almost all containers are manufactured in China, they must make at least one loaded voyage before being sold in the U.S. This avoids the cost and footprint of shipping an empty unit.
Uses
New containers are suitable for any storage, shipping, or building application. They are the only grade we recommend for multi-story construction and are commonly used in the creation of modular self-storage facilities.
